terms of service
Last updated: September 3, 2026.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating a CapturePay account or placing an order through a CapturePay storefront, you agree to these terms. If you’re creating a business account on behalf of a company, you’re confirming you have the authority to bind that company to these terms.
2. What CapturePay is
CapturePay is a platform that lets photography businesses manage events, build a catalog of items, and generate prepay links they send directly to the teams they shoot for. CapturePay is the platform, not the photographer — each business is responsible for the photos, items, and service it actually delivers to its customers.
3. Accounts
You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account, including your company contact info, and for keeping your account credentials secure. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.
4. Fees
Business accounts pay a monthly subscription fee based on their plan, plus a platform fee calculated as a percentage of each order processed through their storefront. Current pricing is shown on our plans page and may change with notice. Both the subscription fee and each storefront order are processed through Stripe — a business connects its own Stripe account to receive family payments directly, and Stripe’s own terms also apply to each transaction.
5. Orders, refunds & cancellations
An order placed through a business’s storefront is a transaction between that business and the customer. Refunds, exchanges, and order issues are handled by the business directly — that’s why every order confirmation shows the business’s own contact information. CapturePay isn’t a party to that transaction and doesn’t guarantee or process refunds on a business’s behalf.
6. Prepay links
A prepay link is scoped to one event and one team, and is intended for the families of that team, not for public distribution. A business can turn a link on or off, or change when it closes, at any time.
7. Acceptable use
You won’t use CapturePay to sell anything unrelated to the photography services and items it’s built for, to attempt to guess or brute-force another business’s prepay links or codes, to misrepresent who you are, or to interfere with the platform’s normal operation.
8. Intellectual property
CapturePay and its branding are owned by us. Photos, item catalogs, branding, and other content a business uploads remain that business’s property — we don’t claim ownership over it, and use it only to operate the service for that business.
9. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms, with notice where practical.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
CapturePay is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, CapturePay isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including disputes between a business and its customers.
11. Governing law
[Governing state/country not yet determined — set this before publishing, based on where the company is actually incorporated.]
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date once this page is live.
